Description Technical Specs   Totem's Model-1 Signature is a serious evolutionary step above its predecessor and sibling, the original regular Model-1. The Model-1 Signature has a greater ability to capture midrange subtlety, dynamics and proper timbre without overloading. Stirring and accurate bass response along with pinpoint imaging allow the Model-1 Signature to completely disappear. Midrange reproduction is clearer and more holographically stable, even under huge dynamic swings. Their exemplary harmonic extension will keep you enthralled. External changes allow bi-wiring via an extra set of exotic W.B.T. terminals. A medallion on the back identifies them as Signature units. Internally, wiring metallurgy was further optimized and specifically designed for the Model-1 Signature. The usual fabulous crossover work that is present in all Totem models is brought to an extreme art form in the Model-1 Signature. No expense or development cost was spared in obtaining the most exotic and musically pleasing componentry. Discover why the Model-1 Signature remains a world reference for monitors. The speakers require several hours of actual music playing time as a minimal break-in period. During this time, refrain from playing them at very loud levels. You will notice a definite gradual improvement in the cohesiveness of the music reproduction as this occurs. It is only through the support of advocates such as yourself that true sound can be promoted... Toe-in: Due to the fact that all Totem speakers have great off-axis dispersion, toe-in is generally not needed. Imaging will therefore be more stable from any point in the room. If the speakers are placed very far apart (over 7 feet) then a slight toe-in may be experimented with.
