The World's Smallest Wall-print for Bass Driver Size
Until now, choice has been severely limited when it comes to in-wall/in-ceiling subwoofers. Current options simply don't deliver the kind of bass performance that gets us excited at Paradigm. In fact, the only thing those models excite is wall vibrations-not a good thing for an in-wall or in-ceiling subwoofer. But now you have choices-real choices for real bass performance. (At really affordable prices!) Once again, Paradigm outperforms the industry!
Two's Company, Three or Four is Never a Crowd!
PCS subwoofers are designed to be used in pairs. Using two subwoofers allows you to randomize the standing waves within your listening room so that bass is distributed in a more uniform manner. Using two PCS subwoofers also ensures even lower distortion (not that you'll typically hear much distortion with a Paradigm sub!), but at very high output levels, you'll be surprised how clean and clear bass remains. For truly mind-blowing performance you can even use three or four PCS subs. One Paradigm® X-300 Amplifier is designed to power two, three or four subs in a room!
Not much bigger than a spotlight, the PCS Series are the world's most powerful eight-inch in-wall/in-ceiling subwoofers. Clean, clear, accurate bass reproduction is achieved through a combination of industry-leading driver technology, the most rigid chassis and mounting bracket systems on the market, and superior power provided by the matching Paradigm X-Series subwoofer amplifiers (sold separately).
The addition of carbon fibers provides excellent cone rigidity. Over-molded "M-roll" design thermoplastic rubber surround guarantees greater cone excursion and extreme durability.
Powerful ceramic/ferrite magnet/motor structures with symmetrical focused-field geometry. 1-1/2 in (38 mm) voice coil with four layers of high-temperature copper wire wrapped around a poly-amide former. The large FEA-optimized magnet/motor structure generates strong energy in the gap.
A rigid die-cast structure that dramatically reduces resonances and standing waves in the ceiling. The aluminum chassis serves as an effective heatsink.
A strong rigid design that dramatically reduces wall vibration and flexing.
